branded vs generic

Good question: Are Branded flash drives better than generic ones? We are refering here to really generic ones - you might get them free from various places - these days 1G drives are hardly worth anything.

I find that there is a difference. Branded ones last longer before they get corrupted if they do get corrupted while generic ones run into problems quite quickly and often. So these days I store my information on proper pen drives or flash drives, back them up again on a portable HDD and only use generic ones for fun and games.

I can't risk losing information!

too early for xmas?

Its coming on to the end of October and with November comes the rush to put up Christmas trees! I swear Christmas comes earlier and earlier every year. I do have an artificial christmas tree that I pack away every year and although I do not celebrate Christmas from the religious point of view, I celebrate it for the commercial haha...

Ya I do the whole setting up of the free complete with ornaments every year for the heck of it. Its fun, and it brightens up my house even if I get tinsel all over my floor all the time!

Chilled to the bone

Last night I was so cold, I thought I needed an electric blanket. Crazy in the hot tropical heat but it turned out it was raining plus I had the air conditioner on so that was it.

Ended up sleeping with my head under the covers - silly when all I should have done was to turn up the temperature! Haha... but there you go. The silly things you do when you are half asleep and frozen to your bone.

When I was overseas I was fascinated by the blue cross deals - these deals usually came towards the end of the sale when prices were dropped even further. Most times, you get nothing but a lot of stuff no one else wants. But if you're really lucky, you get a gem of an item at a very good price!

So, when I saw Blue Cross NC I thought it was to do with the blue cross sales. My mistake! That Blue Cross actually related to a health plan - hence the cross :P

one would think I'd have shopping on my mind all the time :P
